LAST ART WALK OF
THE SUMMER:
THURSDAY 5-9PM
The El Segundo Art Walk will have its final event of
this Summer this Thursday. The map for this month
includes over 40 businesses and 50 artists—the largest
ever. Penn Street in Smoky Hollow will be particularly
busy with 6 venues and 15 artists.
One of the venues on Penn Street, Virtularium Gallery
(130 & 134 Penn), will be transforming their entire
space to become a main venue for the night. There will
be 7 artists with a wide range of mediums including
painting, photography, ceramics and even a custom
floral installation.
Other notable venues are Wolf & Shepherd (1301 E
El Segundo Blvd) and Extima (212 Eucalyptus). Wolf
& Shepherd has a beautiful office that will have 3
artists, a bar and a food truck in the parking lot. Extima
will be showcasing work from esteemed South Bay
photographer Bo Bridges.
At the West Headquarters, DJ Tony Gadachy, Chris
Shaw and Dane Drewis will be splitting up time on
stage, and four artists will be showing work in the
parking lot. Printed maps will be handed out and
free shuttle will be provided, compliments of Swoop
(swoopapp.com).
