Andre Robinson observed a vehicle traveling
down the street and then turn onto
a pedestrian walkway. The vehicle came
to a stop in front of the lobby entrance of
Robinson’s place of employment. Robinson
approached the vehicle and reached inside
the car window to place the vehicle in park.
Believing the driver to be under the influence,
he instructed the driver to exit his vehicle
and sit on the curb while he called police to
report the incident. Andre Robinson’s quick
action led to the arrest of a driver under the
influence of alcohol.

Drugs and Driving Don’t Mix
Last Wednesday at around 8 a.m., an
El Segundo Police Department officer saw a
driver run the stop sign at Main Street and Maple
Avenue. During the traffic stop, the officer detected
signs of marijuana ingestion by the driver.
After conducting a field sobriety test, the officer
formed the opinion the driver was under the
influence of marijuana. The driver was arrested
on the suspicion of driving under the influence
of a drug. The ESPD urges everyone to avoid
driving while under the influence of alcohol,
marijuana or any other drug. Don’t let a careless
act ruin your life or the lives of others.
