Purrrfect Companions
Carrie Oliver
Give one of these kitties a second chance
for a lifetime of love with you.
Lilo was discovered in some bushes, screaming
her little head off for attention. Some
kind folks snapped her up and she landed
in Kitten Rescue’s arms. A bit small for her
age, she has grown in leaps and bounds and
loves to play. Lilo is a busy girl. She pretty
much is always on the go. She is attached
to her human foster mom and enjoys taking
hour-long naps on Mom’s chest when
she can. Lilo is a great hunter. She loves
to carry her toys around and even likes to
play fetch! She will bring her toys to you
when she’s ready to play. She needs to be
in a home where she gets plenty of human
attention. Lilo may take a little while to get
used to her new home and other pets, so an
experienced kitty lover is suggested for her.
Carrie is a torbie, which is a mix between
a tortoiseshell and a tabby coat pattern. Carrie
has personality plus! Playful, friendly
and affectionate, she has a little bit of that
tortie-sass for good measure! She was rescued
along with her litter of kittens from an LA
County shelter, but now she is ready for a
place of her own. She is okay with other cats
and her current foster home has two large dogs.
Oliver is a very sweet young cat. He is a
calm cat, yet he does also like to play with
toys. Sometimes he will come over and
meow when he wants attention. His “special
need” is actually a very minor thing -- he
needs over-the-counter eyedrops in his left
eye several times per week. That’s it! He’s
a handsome orange muffin who would love
to meet you.
Francisco was found in a feral cat colony,
but is not feral at all. He was so glad to get
out of the rain, the cement and the dirty
environment and into soft beds with lots of
love. He must have lived in a house at one
time since he immediately used the litterbox
appropriately. This big guy is super loving
with everyone, affectionate and playful.
Francisco respects the elderly cat who lives
in the same room and is learning to play
gently with the two females who visit him.
He is very communicative with chirps, trills
and meows. Francisco is ready for his own
home and should have another cat to play
with there.
Like her namesake, Zula is a thief who
will steal your affection. She wants it all and
when she gets it, she wiggles with happiness.
She’s smart, curious and loving. Zula was a

bottle baby, so she is very attached to people
and likes other cats. She’s very playful and
runs around the house at 100 miles per hour
chasing her siblings. So she would not be a
good candidate as an only kitty. Zula would
love to share a home with one of her siblings
Tribble, Sabrossa or Kitty Pride and would
probably warm up to another playful kitty.
One caveat with Zula: Somewhere in her
infancy, she contracted a bacterial bug that
occasionally affects her “poop.” She gets bouts
of diarrhea. There’s no way to sell this as a
feature -- it’s definitely a bug. And despite
numerous rounds of antibiotics and such, it
hasn’t been defeated. However, over time it
has gotten much less frequent and she might
grow out of it altogether. Plus, she always
uses her box. It’s a small flaw in such an
amazing kitten.
Bella is a gentle, older feline (15 years) who
is generally very quiet, yet seems to enjoy
human company. She has spent her whole
life in the same house and is accustomed
to having other felines around. Bella is still
healthy, but perhaps not as active as other
younger cats. She loves to have her long fur
brushed or petted. This beautiful little lady
will become your close friend if you indulge
her with that. She has an agreeable personality
and is waiting to be part of your family.
These kitties are available for adoption
through Kitten Rescue, one of the largest cat
rescue groups in Southern California. All our
kitties are spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested
for FeLV and FIV, dewormed and current on
their vaccinations. For additional information
