PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The proposed project is an ordinance
amending Chapter 4 to Title 5 and
Chapter 7 to Title 5 of the El Segundo
Municipal Code (ESMC) to update
the municipal code to comply with the
current language and requirements of the
California Regional Water Quality Control
Board – Los Angeles Region’s Order
No. R4-2012-0175 regarding waste
discharge requirements for municipal
separate storm sewer systems (MS4s).
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
The proposed ordinance is categorically
exempt from review under the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), as
provided in classes 1, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, and
21 of the CEQA Guidelines, since its
adoption would generally implement
measures to protect the environment.

“PERMIT PROCESS FOR ELECTRIC
VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS.”
SUMMARY OF ADOPTED ORDINANCE:
The Ordinance amends the El Segundo
Municipal Code (ESMC) to provide
an expedited, streamlined permitting
process for Electric Vehicle Charging
Stations that will encourage the timely
and cost-effective installation of such
stations, in compliance with Government
Code § 65850.7.
The whole number of the City Council of
said City is five. The foregoing Ordinance
No. 1555 was duly introduced by said
City Council at a regular meeting held
on the 15th day of August, 2017, and was
duly passed and adopted by said City
Council, approved and signed by the
mayor, and attested to by the City Clerk,
all at a regular meeting of said Council on
the 5th day of September, 2017, and the
same was so passed and adopted by the
