Civic Day Internship Program
This year marks the launch of the City of
El Segundo Summer Internship Program—a
unique offering for college-bound graduating
seniors. Given the impressive group of
El Segundo High School students and their
display of leadership and initiative, the City is
providing an opportunity for additional learning
and involvement.
Graduating seniors are eligible to apply
for two paid intern positions. The hours are
flexible and will be scheduled for 20 hours a
week for a duration of approximately two to
three months. The internship will provide students
with an opportunity for real-world work
experience in government. These experiences
provide extremely valuable insight into how
governments work, how laws are formulated,
and how students can tap into their potential.
The on-the-job training and mentoring will
prepare them for a public service career at
the very least.
To Apply:
Submit a one-page explanation describing
why you would be the best candidate. Explain
why you wish to intern for the City of El Segundo
and express which department interests
you the most.
Deadline:
Email your applications to Mickie Tagle at
MTagle@ElSegundo.org by Monday, June 18,
2018, at 5 p.m. The City will confirm receipt
and respond to all inquiries after Monday,
June 25, 2018. For more information, contact
Mickie Tagle at MTagle@elsegundo.org, or
310-524-2303.
