Politically Speaking
One Man’s Opinion Another Man’s Opinion
It’s True: Hillary Clinton Finally
Needs to Move On
By Cristian Vasquez
If anyone has been gracious enough to read
my words for the past three months, it’s no
surprise I’m not a fan of President Trump.
Still, with Hillary Clinton’s new book out,
it’s hard to ignore the excuses/explanations
being discussed with regards to the former
Secretary of State’s loss this past November.
To her credit, it has to be noted that Clinton
did add her name to the list of reasons why
she lost the circus of an election that unfolded.
However, Clinton, the Democrats and her
supporters need to stop trying to rationalize
the loss and mobilize to make the current
administration a one-term headache.
Of all the scapegoats for Clinton’s loss,
the most absurd one is Senator Bernie Sanders.
I know this is going to enrage Clinton
supporters, but the truth is if anyone can
complain about being stifled during the election,
it’s Sanders. The Senator from Vermont
campaigned to earn the support of average
Americans. BBC News (http://www.bbc.com/
news/election-us-2016-35713168) reported
that Sanders’ campaign earned an average
donation of $27.16, with three-quarters of
his donations falling below $200, compared
to Clinton’s 17 percent. The same report
credits Sanders for receiving $14 million in
donations from unemployed Americans. So
Clinton’s claim that Sanders didn’t act fast
enough to unify his supporters in her favor
is absurd. Sanders’ supporters were the
definition of a grassroots movement. These
voters didn’t side with Sanders because he
was a better option given the choices. They
supported him because he was their best
option. Having the loser of a primary swing
their support for the winner is no more than
party politics and no amount of advocacy
from the Vermont Senator was going to give
her those votes. Sanders earned those votes
and Clinton wasn’t just going to swoop in
and take them away.
Clinton gained much financial support
from bankers, Wall Street and of course a
large chunk of the Democratic Party’s base.
Having been a former Secretary of State
and a Senator for the State of New York,
as well as a former First Lady, she was and
is definitely qualified for office, regardless
of difference in political ideology. Clinton
is definitely more qualified than the one in
office now, but none of that mattered because
she still lost. The choices she made leading
up November 8 all came together for her to
lose to the worst candidate and soon-to-be
worst president this country has ever seen.
Yes, misogyny exists, and FBI Director
James Comey and Pizzagate were distractions,
but at the end of the day the choices
Clinton made leading up to the election had
their own impact on the end result. From the
irony in the “deplorables” comment to using
a private server, running for the presidency
means each and every move a candidate makes
will be micro-analyzed. For Clinton, things
didn’t end in her favor. She will forever be
remembered as the candidate who lost to the
train wreck that is 45 and we can discuss
the possibilities as to why, but it ultimately
falls on Clinton. •
Antifa Head-Crackers Continue to
Get Tacit Support from Southpaws
By Duane Plank
So, the lunacy that ran rampant in the bastion
of free speech that used to be the environs
of UC Berkeley has now turned into a home
game for the paid thugs and morons that can
wield murderous weapons, all under the guise
of being labeled “counter-protesters” by their
leftist cheerleaders in the mainstream media.
Yes, you, Chris Cuomo.
Seems to me that the good old folks up in
the Strawberry Canyon area used to espouse
free speech, wear girlie-looking dashikis, and
protest the mayhem that was the Vietnam War?
What the heck happened up there?
Of course, that was before snowflakes,
safe zones, and other Bolshoi became staples
for 2017 on college campuses. And, truth be
told, with the ton of money the UC system is
extorting out of would-be students to attend
class, as the Janet Napolitanos of the world
and her ilk pull down exorbitant salaries with
outrageous perks, who is shocked?
When the lefty Antifa paid criminals decide
to crack heads on college campuses, where
is the moral outrage from the lefties? Heck,
Fancy Pants Nancy Pelosi doesn’t say a goshdarn
thing. Mad Max Watters, who has shut
up for a bit after her illiterate tirade about
impeaching “Putin,” shockingly hasn’t weighed
in on the criminal thuggery of Antifa’s paid,
professional disrupters.
Here’s what you here from the southpaws:
Nothing. Hear the crickets chirping? The skow
Maddow doesn’t acknowledge these inflammatory
beatdowns even occur. She is still
looking under rocks for the alleged tarantulas
who colluded with the Ruskies to topple the
inevitable Hillary coronation to the presidency.
Speaking of Hillary, she is making a total
fool of herself, running around trying to sell
her new ghost-written book, What Happened.
She blames everyone but herself for the greatest
tank in American political history, citing
Macedonians, Russians, Bernie Sanders, James
Comey, the cast from the Big Bang Theory, et
al, Barack Obama, for her incredible embarrassment.
Here is what happened, Hillary. You were a
horrible, somnambulant candidate who didn’t
even visit states like Wisconsin during the
general election cycle. You allowed losers like
Debbie WS to tilt the game in your favor after
you got your panties in the proverbial bunch
after the old-man Sanders started making
inroads in the nomination cycle.
Course, she went on a TV show like The
View to try and spin her sob story and cash
in on the fact that she was married to an exphilandering
president. Bet she was interrogated
by Whoppi Goldberg and the other limo-libs
harshly, right?
Must opine that this is the best time ever for
a political junkie. Trump is 24-7, good or bad.
The embarrassment of Cali politicians continues
to fight Washington, trying to proudly brand us
as a sanctuary state. No borders, right? We’re
all citizens of the world, to heck with borders.
Let all in, let all vote. That isn’t part of the
Lib playbook, right? Heard that some cities/
counties are jonesing to allow illegals to vote
in local elections. Gee, would all the illegal
voters vote Democratic? •
