Herald in Cape Cod Not Happy With Decision
We are so saddened and disappointed with
the decision three of you made about TopGolf.
Your vote to kill this without even looking at the
new deal and not waiting for Mr. Lundquist is
unreasonable and we feel borderline unethical!
You failed the residents of El Segundo and
sold out your constituents who were in support
of this! You turned your backs on the EDAC
Committee and the Planning Commission,
people that you entrust to give you insight
into important decisions.
With ES looking at more dire financial
years, you walked away from an opportunity
to improve our community with a new revenue
source and a way to enhance our worn out and
tired golf course. You have committed us to
pay to maintain the Wiseburn pool while we
must sit back and see the Lakes, the Plunge,
and the GG Clubhouse in their current states
of disrepair!
As life long residents, active members of
the community, a former 20-year Rec Park
Commissioner and retirees of Chevron and the
City of ES, we are angry. Right now we are
questioning your right to be on City Council
since you have “TopGolf fatigue” and are
“worn out” - then please do the right thing
and step down!
