Donald Gary Guzman
Donald Gary Guzman, 55,
passed away on Friday, February
16th, 2018, after a four-year
battle with kidney cancer and
other recent complications. Donny
was born December 4th, 1962 in
Inglewood, CA, and raised by his
parents Victor Manuel Guzman
and Sharon Virginia Guzman in
El Segundo, CA. He grew up
as the oldest of three sons, with
brothers Victor Joseph and Michael
Vincent, whom he loved dearly.
Those who knew Donny had firsthand experience
of what a loving, funny, and great guy he
was. He had a huge personality and would have
you in stitches if you gave him a chance to tell
a joke or a hilarious story. Some may have
even had the opportunity to see his sensitive
side, since he had one of the biggest hearts.
He always loved unconditionally. Donny was
preceded in death by his grandmother,
Dorothy Wood (07/08/91),
his father, Victor Manuel Guzman
(12/19/98), and his youngest
brother, Michael Vincent Guzman
(07/08/06). He is survived by
his loving and treasured family:
His wife of 27 years, Alma, and
their daughters, Elyse and Iris;
His beloved mother, Sharon; His
brother, Joey, his wife, Akiko and
their children, Carina and Angelo;
and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services were held Saturday, February 24th,
2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic
Church in El Segundo and he was laid to
rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be
made to either USC/Norris Comprehensive
Cancer Center in Los Angeles or the American
Cancer Society.
