Obituaries
Norman A. Goyette Jr.
Norman A. Goyette Jr, faithful
son, husband, father, grandfather,
employee, citizen, servant of God,
died from complications of pneumonia
on Dec. 7, 2018 at age of
86. Norm was born to Alma and
Norman Goyette and raised in
Uxbridge, MA. He earned a BS
in Physics from the College of the
Holy Cross and a MS in Physics from Tufts
University. He moved to Southern California
in the mid-fifties, where he met his bride
and began his long career in the aerospace
industry. He worked for TRW from 1957 to
1997. During his tenure with TRW he worked
in California, Massachusetts, Colorado and
did multiple tours in South Australia. After
retirement from TRW he went to work for
the Aerospace Corporation, where he was
employed at the time of his death.
Norm was a life-long Catholic. He gave
generously to various charitable and educational
causes, and selflessly gave of his
time. The world was a better place because
of Norm.
He will be greatly missed by
his family, friends and co-workers.
He is survived by his loving wife
Marian (58 years), children, Bill
(Betsy), Patricia (John), John (Rebecca),
Michael, Pete (Bernadette),
grandchildren Katie (Miguel), Kellie
(Justin), Teresa, Billy, Emily,
Matt, Anthony, Gabriel, Elizabeth,
Cecilia, Robert, Maria, Peter, David, Mark,
Catherine, Joseph, Liam, Therese, Angela,
Mariana, Marguerite, Pete, Michael, and great
grandchildren Miguel, Connor and new baby,
siblings Robert (Rachel) and Jean.
The viewing, rosary and funeral will be
held at Thomas Aquinas College chapel in
Santa Paula. The viewing will be on Dec.
16 between 6 and 9 PM with rosary at 7:30
PM. The funeral Mass will be on Dec. 17 at
11 AM followed by interment at Santa Paula
Cemetery. Reception to follow. A memorial
Mass will be held at St. Anthony Church, El
Segundo on Jan. 4, 2019 at 11 AM. Memorial
donations in Norm’s name may be made to
Thomas Aquinas College.

COMMITTEE MEMBERS
The El Segundo Unified School District (ESUSD) is seeking
residents to oversee the spending of Measure ES, the $92 million
in school bonds approved by the voters on November 6, 2018.
Community members who live within the boundaries of
ESUSD are eligible to apply for membership on the
Measure ES Citizen Bond Oversight Committee.

Colleen (Coco) Ann O’Ryan
11/19/1946 – 12/8/2018
Colleen was born 11/19/1946
to Frank and Charline Trott in
Los Angeles California. She grew
up in Hawthorne and graduated
from Hawthorne High School in
1964. She was married to Terry
O’Ryan in 1966 and moved to the
Hawaiian Islands where she lived
for five years while Terry was in
the U.S. Navy. She returned to California in
1971 and moved to El Segundo. She worked at
Saint Anthony’s School in El Segundo for 20+
years. She was involved with many activities
in El Segundo and had many lifetime friends.
On 12/8/2018 she lost a long battle with
Cancer and went to be with her parents and
friends with God in heaven. She
is survived by her husband of
52 years, Terry of El Segundo,
her twin sister Maureen Trott of
Hawthorne, her sister Rose Trott
of Hawthorne, her sister and
brother in law Vern and Frances
Sprankle of Mission Viejo, and
many nieces and great nieces
and nephew.
Services will be held at Douglass Mortuary,
500 East Imperial Way, El Segundo,
CA. 90245 on 12/17/18 at 11:00 AM. with a
celebration of life at Dennis and Dee’s home
located at 418 West Maple Ave., El Segundo
CA 90245 after the services.
